Locating Yourself in Recreation and Leisure

Before we can examine the recreation and leisure of others, it’s crucial that you first explore how you like to recreate.  This could be in conventional leisure activities (like sports, games, or reading) or it could be in more contemporary forms of recreation that might be more difficult to categorize (like watching gamers compete on Twitch, creating content through Instagram or TikTok, or watching streaming content on YouTube).  Part of this course will hopefully challenge your idea of what “recreation” is: these activities are as diverse as the participants who engage in them!
