44 Preparation

Note Before You Begin: 

Review the protocols and figures below to learn about how the Implen spectrophotometer, Qubit fluorometer, and TapeStation electrophoresis systems work.

 

Required Materials: 

Each group of researchers will need:

  • One 10 µL micropipette  (p10)
  • Filtered tips for p10
  • Wipes
  • Tip disposal container
  • Distilled water
  • QIAGEN C6 Elution Buffer, New England BioLabs (NEB) gDNA Elution Buffer II (or whatever buffer experimental DNA is stored in)
  • Implen spectrophotometer
  • Qubit High Sensitivity (HS) 1X Working Solution and/or Qubit Broad Range (BR) 1X Working Solution and Qubit fluorometer
  • Agilent TapeStation Genomic DNA reagents: buffer and ladder tubes
  • Your genomic DNA samples
