The tiny balls of fat that could revolutionize medicine

The use of lipids to surround drugs have been utilized successfully for mRNA vaccines, like the Covid-19 vaccines. Whitehead discusses the challenges that had faced delivering the drug successfully to the system and explains how the use of these lipids enables a successful delivery. These “tiny balls of fat”, Whitehead explains, can be utilized in other drug types to target a desired area of delivery and further innovate the drug delivery industry.
