LAB 2 – Diagnostic imaging anatomy of the carnivore thoracic limb.
Learning Objectives
- Summarize the basic principles and terminology of Ultrasound.
- Summarize the basic principles and terminology of Computed Tomography.
- List the views of the shoulder, elbow, carpus, and manus of the dog/cat.
- List the radiographic anatomy present in each of the views discussed.
- List the differences between dogs and cats regarding the views of the forelimb.
LAB INSTRUCTIONS:
This lab is held in the class lecture theater ie D-239. Please bring your team bone boxes to the session. Dr. Petrovitch will be leading you through the learning objectives listed above. Reference to a physical bone while understanding the imaging appearance of the bone and its features will be helpful.
