This book is designed as an OER text and learning resource for undergraduate students enrolled in HESS 252 (Skiing and Snowboarding) at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC. The book provides an introduction to the history of the sports, science of skiing and snowboarding and skills to be acquired. The book also provides an overview of the physical requirements (anatomy of the sports) and training drills and exercises that can be performed in the off-season.
